This policy explains what personal information Integrity Window Cleaning collects, why we collect it, how we look after it and what your rights are. We follow UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
Who we are
Integrity Window Cleaning is owned and run by Alexander Wingrove. We are the data controller for the information described here.
Address: 11 Peak Road, Guildford, Surrey GU2 9YE
Phone: 07917 644048
You can also reach us through the contact form.
What we collect
- When you ask for a price or contact us (contact form, WhatsApp, phone or text): your name, phone number, email address, the address of the property and what you’d like cleaned. You may also send us photos of the property.
- When we do work for you: details of the job, your visit dates and what you’ve paid.
- When you pay: bank transfer details shown on your bank statement, or card payments taken through Stripe or on the day. Card details are handled by the payment provider. We don’t keep your full card number.
- When you use the website: technical information such as your IP address, browser and device, and the pages you visit. Some of this is collected by cookies. See our Cookie Policy.
The price calculator on our website doesn’t store your answers. If you choose to send your quote, it opens WhatsApp on your device and you send the message to us yourself.
Why we use it
- To reply to you and give you a price. (Taking steps at your request before a contract.)
- To book, carry out and invoice the work, and to text you before visits. (To carry out our contract with you.)
- To keep tax and accounting records. (Because the law requires it.)
- To run and protect our business and website, for example stopping spam on our forms. (Our legitimate interests.)
- To measure how the website is used and how our adverts perform, only if you accept those cookies. (Your consent, which you can change at any time from the cookie banner.)
We don’t sell your information, and we don’t send marketing emails.
Who we share it with
We only share information with services that help us run the business, and only what they need:
- Our website host, which stores the website and the messages sent through our forms.
- Google, for the anti-spam check on our forms (reCAPTCHA), the Google reviews shown on the site, and, if you accept cookies, website statistics and advertising.
- WhatsApp (Meta), if you message us that way.
- Stripe or our bank, to take payments.
- Anyone we must share it with by law, for example HMRC.
Some of these companies may process information outside the UK. Where they do, they use legal safeguards approved under UK law.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don’t lead to any work: up to 2 years.
- Customer details: for as long as you’re a customer, then up to 2 years after our last visit.
- Invoices and payment records: for as long as the law requires for tax purposes, usually 6 years.
Keeping it safe
The website uses a secure (HTTPS) connection, so information sent through our forms is encrypted. Only we can access your details, and we only keep what we need.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- ask us to correct it
- ask us to delete it (unless we must keep it by law)
- object to or ask us to limit how we use it
- withdraw your consent to cookies at any time
To use any of these rights, contact us using the details above. We’ll reply within one month. We may ask you to confirm who you are first.
Complaints
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us and we’ll try to put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
