This block paving driveway in Woking, Surrey had years of dirt, moss and weeds on it, and it was slippery when wet.
Before
The blocks had gone dark all over and the joints were full of moss and weeds. The sand in the joints holds moisture, which is where the moss and weeds get in.
What we did
- Cleared the weeds and loose moss
- Pressure washed the whole driveway with a surface cleaner
- Re-sanded the joints with kiln-dried sand
- Put a treatment down to slow the moss and algae coming back
After
The blocks are back to their proper colour, the joints are filled and the drive is safer to walk on in the wet.
