The problem: algae and streaking on the conservatory and cladding
The conservatory ridge and decorative finial had accumulated significant black and green algae — the kind that builds up in the joints and ornamental sections where water sits. Dark streaks had started running down the glass, and the surrounding grey uPVC cladding had gone from clean to dull grey with organic discolouration. What we did
- Soft-washed the full conservatory roof, ridge, finial and decorative uPVC with appropriate cleaning solution to lift algae and organic staining
- Cleaned the glass panels on the conservatory roof, clearing the dark streak marks
- Washed the adjacent grey cladding, fascia and soffits as part of the same visit
- Rinsed the full elevation and checked for any remaining marks before leaving
The result
The cladding came back to a uniform clean grey and the conservatory uPVC was fully white again — the ridge and finial detail clearly visible rather than obscured by algae. The customer had been watching the staining worsen over two seasons; a single professional clean sorted it completely. The difference across the whole elevation is significant.
