This gutter in Guildford, Surrey was completely blocked, with grass growing out of the silt.
Before
Silt had filled the gutter to the top and grass had rooted in it. The rain had nowhere to go but over the edge.
What we did
- Cleared the grass and silt out of the gutter
- Checked the downpipe and cleared it
- Cleaned up below when we’d finished
After
The gutter is empty and the water runs to the downpipe again.
