This brick and stone entrance in Guildford, Surrey had gone green with algae over the years, and the stone balls on top of the pillars were the worst of it.
Before
The brick pillars had dulled and the carved stone on top had gone dark and green.
What we did
- Cleaned the brick pillars and the caps
- Cleaned the algae and dirt off the stone balls
- Washed down the ironwork and the stone around it
After
The stone is a light colour again and the brickwork looks smart.
